Say No to Stress
It
is pretty difficult to come out of things that happens unexpectedly , all of us
choose one of the way to come out of it and not everyone is successful.
Depression
and anxiety are common experiences for most of them .
It
took me long to overcome my illness because I did not trust people anymore
around me , I was afraid that I don’t get along with wrong people again .
Hence
kept myself locked in the room all the time and I think during this time I have
not only suffered with mental illness but physical too…
I Know
it isn’t easy to discuss with family members at times but you have better ways
to come out of things .
I
have just jotted down few simple ways to relieve anxiety and stress , which
might be of help.
· Spend
Time With Friends and Family
Yes
please, This was the biggest mistake I did staying away from family and friends
for a long time . But My Mom without asking me anything just tried to help me
to come out the stress(I wouldn’t say depression here because till now she
could only call it Stress ).
She did not question me about what happened and
looking at my stress everyday which was evident she planned a trip to Mumbai and meet my cousins ,she decided to take me along with her ,she knew that meeting them would refresh my
childhood days .
After
this I realized having strong social ties helped me to get through stressful
times .
· Write
It Down
Yes,
write everything if you can’t share it .Write down what you are grateful for.
Gratitude
may help relieve stress and anxiety by focusing your thoughts on what's
positive in your life.
I
wrote so many draft messages to relieve my stress but then it was all negative
where there was no outcome , it really did not work for me at first .
But
when I started writing about all positive things that happened around me or
better experiences and whom I was grateful for .
This
reduced my anxiety, I would know where I stand and start thinking of all
possibilities of making things better .
Anything
about yourself which you don’t appreciate, begin to appreciate it.
Some people may wish they had what you have.
Some people may wish they had what you have.

Exercise
Since
I started taking care of myself , I knew that I had to get rid off mental
illness which was the cause for my health issues .
I
chose Yoga ,
Meditating
for about 15-20 mins in a day in peaceful environment not only to helps you
relieve stress but also affects nervous system .
Which
relaxes your body .
Spend
time with your pet
Having
my Pet has helped me improve my mood all the time ,
He
gave me a purpose to live , it keeps me active all the day and provides best
companionship even now .
Spending
time with them keeps you engaged physically and mentally .
Set goals
My
first blog that I shared prevails about my worklife , how I managed to get
through things keeping myself busy in work life .
When
you are depressed you don’t feel like you can accomplish things .
Start
with small things , set goals for something that you can start achieving and
then start setting up higher goals .
Laugh
More
Laughter
is the best medicine of all , I know it
is pretty difficult when going through this but start smiling , let it be a
fake smile at first .
But
give it a go , it will make you feel better physically
and will put you in a happy mood.
Try
watching a funny TV show or hanging out with friends who make you laugh.
I
don’t watch much TV shows since I spend lot of time at work , I have been lucky that
I continued
to work with such an amazing person , Deepak has made me smile and laugh
everytime .
He
makes me laugh , there is no single day we spend without pulling each other’s
leg. This improves my stress level reduction , trust me.
These
are the few things that I tried and did work for me ..
